
For 2025, the Shay2U Scholarship Foundation award ceiling is $2,000, and the individual maximum is $1,000. S2USF will award two (2) scholarships at $1,000 per award. NOTE: Scholarship(s) will be awarded to the student(s) based upon evidence of registration in an accredited four (4) year college or university.
The Shay2U Scholarship Foundation Scholarship applications open Saturday, March 1, 2025, and close Monday, April 4, 2025, at midnight EST.

All mailed applications MUST be received by Monday, April 4, 2025.
Once the application process has closed, the S2USF Scholarship review committee will begin the screening process. Award recipients will be notified no later than Friday, May 2, 2025, by 5:00 pm.
Criteria and Eligibility
1. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors from Alfred Ely Beach High School (Savannah, Georgia)
2. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior in the year of the award.
3, Applicants must at least have a 3.0 Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) on a 4.0 grading scale
4. Applicants must not be related to any Board of Directors or employees of S2USF as this presents a conflict of interest.
5. Applicants must fully complete the S2USF 2025 Application
6. Applicants must independently complete the S2USF Essay
7. Applicants must provide two (2) letters of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, educational professional, or a community leader speaking to applicants' character, and scholastic achievement.
8. Applicants must submit their unofficial transcripts confirming their current grade point average at the time of application.
9. Preference will be given to Applicants who play or manage a sport (football manager, volleyball manager, etc.), but this is not a requirement.
10. Applicants must submit a copy of an acceptance letter from an accredited four (4) year college or university.
11. Applicants must submit a professional headshot, preferably their senior photo, as this will be displayed on the S2USF website and social media platforms if they are awarded the scholarship.
12. Applicants must be willing to attend the S2USF Scholarship Gala on August 2, 2025, to publicly receive their award. Applicant and 1 guest will receive tickets to attend the dinner, free of charge.
13. Applicants must submit a copy of their registered classes before the award will be distributed.
Post S2USF Scholarship Award
The disbursement of the scholarship funds in the amount of $1000.00 will be dispersed at the S2USF gala on either August 2, 2025. Because the funds are designed to assist students with books and other financial needs associated with starting college that do not include tuition, room, and board, the funds will be given directly to the student and not to the school.

1. DEADLINE for the S2USF scholarship application is Monday, April 4, 2025, at midnight EST. (no exceptions) Refer to the application process below for a list of the supporting documentation needed (reference forms, evidence of GPA, etc.)

Application Process
Applicant MUST submit the following items:
1. Completed application form (if handwritten, please print legibly)
2. Two (2) letters of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, administrator, principal, educational professional, or community leader.
3. An unofficial recent high school transcript with a cumulative grade point average.
4. Personal Essay. The essay must be 1-2 pages typed, double spaced, 12 pt. Times New Roman font. The essay should not contain any grammatical errors and should include a brief explanation about yourself and your college plans (name of college/university you will attend, intended major, anticipated start date, and an explanation of your educational and professional goals as well as your career objectives).
